About Shannon McGhean, MS, CCC-SLP
Ms. McGhean brings clinical experience in evaluating and treating pediatric patients with a range of diagnoses, including receptive and expressive language delays, articulation disorders, social pragmatic differences, hearing loss, auditory processing difficulties, and more. She specializes in supporting children with hearing loss who are learning to communicate primarily through listening and spoken language. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based methodologies and emphasizes a collaborative, family-centered approach that empowers both children and their caregivers
Shannon McGhean, M.S., CCC-SLP is a part-time speech-language pathologist in the Department of Otolaryngology. She holds a B.S. degree in Speech and Hearing Science from SUNY College at Cortland and an M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hunter College. She is licensed in the state of New York and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She also holds her Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in the state of New York
